Traditional country houses here is Sweden are painted in Falu Red (or Falun Red). It is popular because the deep red paint helps preserves wood for a long time. Another popular culture standard is the birdhouses outside of peoples home windows.
Last week, I decided to paint this piece. I chose to paint a birdhouse, painted in the traditional Falu Red and added some graffiti to it with a birdgun on it protecting its home. I found a great place for it near a beautiful window to play a part of it (almost as if the bird is looking out for someone or something).
